Memento
The three materials I used for this piece was a pin back, sheet metal and my hair. My memory of cutting my own hair in my bathroom during high school served as inspiration for this piece. I chose sheet metal to resemble a scissor blade and added scratch marks to it emphasizing the harshness of the cut usually fueled by angst. I made this piece a pin because it lies closer to where I would normally be cutting my hair.
